Viper V3 Pro Launch Trailer BTS
For the Pro: Lighter, Faster, Better
Speed and precision — that’s what defines the Razer Viper V3 Pro. We were brought in to craft a launch film that does more than just showcase specs. It had to feel like performance.
With world-class esports athlete Zekken at the center, we shaped a narrative around control and mastery — the kind that comes from instinct, timing, and gear that keeps up. A tool built for pros, shown in the hands of one.
Behind The Scenes
Our Role
This was Razer’s first live-action and CGI blend for their pro mouse lineup — and we were responsible for the full creative direction. That meant shaping the film’s tone, visual language, and the way product features came across in motion.
We worked closely with the film crew, bringing a CGI mindset to a live-action pipeline. Our goal: to create something visually sharp, but narratively seamless — where transitions between real and digital felt invisible.

Visual Language
Unlike Razer’s immersion-focused products — often more vivid and expressive — the Viper V3 Pro sits in a more restrained visual space. We crafted and align to the look with Razer’s professional line-up: Razer greens, low-key lighting, and serious energy.
Speed was a recurring theme. We captured light streaks and slow shutter effects from the set and wove them into transitions, subtly cueing “light-speed” without being literal.
Key Moments
Laser Lock
A dynamic orbital camera move links the dongle to the mouse with a green beam — a visual metaphor for 8K Hz HyperPolling tech. Framed like a western cowboy standoff, where every millisecond counts — and the first to react wins.
Precision HUD
We built a moment inside the mouse — the POV of the optical sensor. HUD graphics highlighted its 1-DPI adjustability, emphasizing control at the smallest scale.
Performance Sequence
Zekken swipes the mouse → cut to an internal POV of the sensor adjusting DPI → payoff shot of a precise FPS takedown. This three-shot arc connects human intent with hardware capability — letting viewers grasp the precision, feel the control, and envision how this tool could sharpen their own play.
Creative Challenges
Tight shoot — one day only with Zekken. So we leaned into rehearsals and mapped every move. Our team was precise with what we needed from set, so the CGI team could sing.
The hybrid nature of the spot pushed us — we had to stitch live-action into CGI with transitions that held up through careful planning and matching of light, angle, and timing.

Studio Reflection
We’re a CGI studio at our core, but this project stretched us. Working with film production teams is always energizing — different strengths, shared ambitions. We loved the challenge of solving problems with constraints. That’s what design is, after all.
